What is Kantha?
Kantha is an age-old art listed as a UNESCO heritage site.
Women assemble several layers of fabric, most often saris, which they embroider by hand. This activity brings together women regardless of caste or religion. This exceptional work gives them financial autonomy. We contribute to this by using kanthas. By wearing them, you participate in highlighting their arts.
Each piece being an old piece, time has left traces of wear which give all the charm to these handicraft products. No products in poor condition were selected, but we love it when showy patchworks consolidate part of the kantha. Each model is of course a unique piece that you will not find anywhere else.
We work in collaboration with workshops in Jaipur, India in accordance with our ethical values.
Each garment is made from recycled saris and selected one by one by Anne-Marie, all our pieces are therefore unique.
* It is important to understand that handcrafted products may have small defects. They are part of the charm and authenticity of our products. This is completely normal because our products are handmade and not mass produced. They do not affect the quality or durability of the product.
